Start-Stop Batteries

With Start-Stop vehicles, the engine is switched off during short stops for instance at traffic lights in order to save fuel and to reduce CO2 emissions by 5-10%. In response to CO2 reduction targets set by EU that require engines to be shut off instead of idling while the vehicle is stopped, LEOCH start-stop batteries are prime examples of powering all new Start-Stop automobiles. They have been specifically designed for SLI applications offering high power, increased cold cranking performance, very good charging acceptance performance and longer cycle life compared to conventional flooded car batteries.
